Trying to decide how much ambition to put into the production of my next album.
The last one took about 10 years start to finish... I write songs much faster than that, it's just the recording / production process that takes so long (+ many side quests and distractions)

Errant! The first honest foray into prog rock. I very much wanted to make sure it was synthesizers and drums only. Sort of in the same way I tried so many attempts at guitar free doom metal I wanted the same touch on this stuff.

RhymeZone's is helpful for more than just rhyming!
I promise using these tools is not "cheating"!
But using #LLMs definitely IS cheating, and I don't want to hear lyrics written that way.

I do not consider myself to be a particularly strong lyricist. But at least I don't just scat lines that are vaguely about California or shoehorn in references to other bands that I like that have no context within the songs. Or have a cringey mustache & date barely legal girls. But I do use this:

In general I block people that post #AiArt on sight.
I am having a great time finding musicians on here, but some of the album art is suspicous. If they don't disclose that they used AI but it still "looks AI" I feel a bit conflicted.
