1 Cheering for Layla speed numbers are dipping despite dropping in class.

2 Daddy's Nina is my sentimental pick after a '23 & '24 career at Golden Gate Fields (long may she reign).

4 Lotsa Steel had back-to-back wins in Wyoming in big fields. Flirted with the winners circle in October, but seeking class relief today. Speed figures more consistent than the rest.

6 Ila Veiw Too is the pace of the race. Hasn't worked since June though despite racing six times since.

The morning line likes 5 My Little Lady.

Won on debut in Sept. '24, then wound down to the $5k claiming level for victory #2. Two poor showings after that. Second race with new trainer.

Can't ignore strong stretch drives in both career wins, but since she's a slow starter, give the edge to 3.

Let's look.

First pass falls on 3 Prancing Matilda. Dropping back to $4,500 after trying for more stout races after a June victory at Emerald Downs.

In active training and cutting back to her victory distance. Both November workouts look like a contender.

The rosy side of this sextet is what it could mean for the sport. There's a place for these horses. Emerald Downs, Turf Paradise, Los Al, and the wild western circuit running through Wyoming.

I hope this tier of racing and continue to exist.

The Equibase free program of the day set me on quite the hunt today.

Quick look at the PPs and Journalism's work in the final quarter jumped out. Even more excited about his work through (albeit limited) traffic.

He could be the favorite in the Derby, and for good reason.

That's one I don't mind missing on. 6 Andrea was definitely helped with the class relief, but I couldn't make my mind up about 2, 4, and 8.

Took a mild swing and missed.
