The Trump administration is trying to undermine elections. Standing in opposition: state and local election officials, the courts, Congress, and voters themselves. bit.ly/3LDvVqz
A Year to Defend Elections
Trump’s pardons of Rudy Giuliani and other election deniers are a reminder that the midterms will face an extraordinary new source of pressure: the federal government itself.

The wealth gap is wider than ever. While billionaires continue to make unfathomable amounts of money, families are struggling to afford rent, groceries, and healthcare. It’s time to build an economy that works for EVERYONE.
Spoiler alert: none of it is going to be 'inherited' by you or me.

A wealth tax is the only way to close the inequality gap and fund our services properly.

My best source in DC believes that the Democratic Senator cave-in the other day will result in no relief for the skyrocketing ACA subsidies.

So 5 million ppl will lose healthcare because Republicans suck, some will die, & we’ll have a great 2026 campaign issue.

I am enraged.

Must read on MAGA, how it's held together by a cult of personality, and how nihilism, tech bros and/or Trump's needing to survive Epstein threat could push things further right.
@gregsargent.bsky.social interviews @pastpunditry.bsky.social, historian specializing in conservatism of last 75 years.
Really unnerving point from Nicole Hemmer, historian of the right: Trump's Epstein fiasco could drive MAGA to push him to go even fuller authoritarian, because the whole project is now in such serious doubt. She's so good on MAGA's future.

Anyone who claims to be a 'leader' must adopt and act upon these words and ideals. No exceptions.
81 years ago, FDR proposed a second Bill of Rights to guarantee every American the right to employment, healthcare, education, housing, and a living income. His words are as relevant now as they were then. Watch.

A lot of people have helped Trump cover up his involvement with Epstein. They need to think very carefully about their choices going forward. It's one thing to cheer on his ballroom or root for DOGE. Running interference for pedophiles is something the history books won’t forget.
EPSTEIN BOMBSHELL: Newly released emails show Jeffrey Epstein told Ghislaine Maxwell that Donald Trump “spent hours at my house,” “knew about the girls,” and “that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.”

When Trump's DOJ in 2019 raided Jeffrey Epstein's house in NYC they seized large numbers of hard drives together with CDs with videos/images. Why have these not be released-even if redacted? Was Trump on the videos taken secretly in Epstein's houses?! Photos below are government photos of evidence

Removing a monument honoring Black US soldiers has nothing to do with DEI. It’s erasure of history and it’s straight-up racism.

Plus one on this take from the great @gregsargent.bsky.social.....
Some Dems and pundits overread the significance of Trump's win. They looked at dissatisfaction with the border and discerned a seismic cultural reaction to immigration levels inside the country. The former was real. The latter is a mirage.
