Semi-related note: when I drive past the street named Brockway near me, I think about stealing the sign and mailing it to you since that seems like the Brockway thing to do but I'd rather not have to explain that to the cops. Plus I'm not enough of a Drug-Fueled Misadventurer to ignore that outcome.

I didn't think for the tiniest fraction of a second that you were bluffing. It was so clearly the most Brockway thing to do.

I read it digitally as it came out and later got the trades, but you bet your sweet bippy I bought a copy of this cover at the time anyway!

I always check the framing of your article's images to see if I can predict/foolishly try to ready myself for what's ahead. So when I saw that condom wrapper, every new paragraph I was just waiting for that hammer to fall. I didn't know what angle it would come from but I knew it was inevitable.

I *think* I still have one of the tiny ones, but I don't have time tonight to go look in the attic where I think it is. If I somehow remember about this later, I will totally see if I can go dig it out though.

Man, if I didn't need a new car right now I'd be sorely tempted to bid on that. I'm sure even then it would go for more than I could afford. You're not exaggerating: that is literal (and amazing) history, at least to me!

Watch Used Cars with Kurt Russell. The only people I personally know who've seen it are those I've shown it to, but it's a riot. I don't recall any cravats but it's got weird late 70s style so I can't rule it out.

I know it's not much, but I've laughed, learned, and felt righteous solidarity all along the way.

I'm still not over how my box with the entire Starslip paperback collection got lost in the mail during a move. I just now realized I've been sad/mad about it for a whole decade because that was in 2015. Time to cue up another existential crisis!

The fact that it's been a decade already is frightening, and made me realize I'm long overdue for a re-read to remind myself that it'll be okay. #WicDivForever

Had I not already known, reading this would have made me think "oh, the Eisner noms must have gone up." I know it probably happens all the time, but it being bad enough for you to have to call it out again would've had me consider the timing.
But yeah, I will never understand why/how people do that.
