You know what I hate about the over 50 get fit ads? In 30 days blah blah blah….yeah in 30 days if you lost weight you’ll have saggy skin. They don’t show that. If you’ve carried the weight longer than a year, your skin is droopy after fast weight loss….

At the park some kid went to use the drinking fountain and his mom yelled at him to stop and handed him a plastic bottle.

People bath in this water, use it to cook, wash dishes, bath and launder…it all comes from the same place

The result of privatization and budget cuts to cal-trans. They were changing out the street lights at the intersection. Private company. Cal Trans would have done this in the middle of the night. This is how governments are saving money. Fuuuuuck enshittification.

That is what Paramount Chief Executive David Ellison is betting on with a $150 million deal to acquire the Free Press, the popular news and opinion site Weiss founded in 2021 as a check on what she saw as the media’s “woke” orthodoxy.
He is installing the outspoken journalist as editor in chief of CBS News and empowering her to set the storied news organization’s editorial vision.
CBS News plans to launch a debate-style program that Weiss will oversee that is similar to debates the Free Press streams on topics ranging from immigration to the ethics of gene-editing embryos. Weiss will also continue as CEO and editor of the Free Press.
In an interview, Weiss said she and Ellison are aligned in their desire for “news that reflects reality” and journalism that “doesn’t seek to demonize, but seeks to understand.”
