If they keep it as a nice community event to give something away, it'll help endear them to some people. If they pummel it as a marketing technique to sell the game to newcomers, it'll probably fall flat on its arse. But we shall see. At the end of the day, it's free shit you can either have or no.

Drops are for finished products. Star Citizen is not that, and it's generally at its worst performance wise during your basic free fly. As a marketing tool, it's bloody terrible. But, as mentioned, this is free shit. So it depends on how they approach it all I guess.

So new people see twitch drops. Exciting! They hop into a stream, settle down and see what the fuss is... and immediately have to watch the servers shit themselves while the streamer either makes excuses for it or laughs it off. As first impressions go, free fly ain't it, shiny bauble or no.

We citizens know the deal. Free fly event. It will be a shit show. It's always a shit show. I tend to not bother with them any more. I check out the event, then wait for the servers to start working again. Playing the actual game during this time is not fun, and will no go over well with casuals.

Haven't tried it out yet, so can't speak for it's performance, but aesthetically, it's not for me. I like a clean sci-fi line. This post apocalyptic feel isn't my bag, it's why I've only been to Pyro once.

Shit be laggy, yo. Was pretty choppy on approach, but it really is an impressive looking place from the outside. Looking forward to checking out the inside later, if the crash gods are feeling nice.

I've just taken the QI out for a couple of little Bounty and Gilly missions and honestly, it's a lot of fun to fly, I'm definitely a fan of it. Didn't get to use the dampener yet, but it's now very much on the list for future.

Sounds decent. I picked up an in game Gladius and am in the market for my next things to aim for so I'll look to put some time in the cockpit and see if that's the one. Trying to experience some different things.

That's the Interdictor variant, right? I've never really played with that style, kind of new to trying to fight anything really, I suck as a pilot 😂
