Once you’re in the polling booth, nothing can stop you scribbling gibberish on the ballot but you MUST turn up &be crossed off the voter list.

Australia has the word’s best electoral system with; compulsory, preferential voting; a completely independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (gerrymandering is impossible); paper ballots; no voter ID (it would make voting difficult for some); a Court of Disputed Returns; &more.
