The power of one million exploding nuns.
*Mechanical difference between the 21 Class Edward belonged to & the Pettigrew stop-gap pair (not really sure on this as his dubbed 'K3' class also had Stephenson motion).
*To the best of my knowledge this photo of 'Sharpie' No.64 has not been republished anywhere so I'll include a close up.

Couldn't quite part with £75 for the deluxe 'Wiltshire Wisdom : The Genius of Swindon in the Steam Age' but it and 'Industrial Railways : Part 1' featuring a few nice Par photos have been added to the Buy List. Still all-in-all not a bad haul from the National Festival Of Railway Modelling 😎

Aye. Despite surviving to 1926 the equally camera shy ex-114 is often the one that appears in Lindal subsidence postings.

Oh c'mon, not only is that Sharpie not the wrong 115, it isn't even from the right period 😛

Indian Edward getting shade thrown at him early as 1902!

Aye. Had never seen him out of character till accepting an award around the late 90s and finally the penny dropped............good thing I'm not a police officer 😅

He was good observing Hacker & Humphry ballet. Suppose 82 isn't too bad innings but glad I've got a few more Nick Berry seasons to catch up on.
Earliest 'aha moment' was Del Boy & Jack Frost. Brought up on BBC's Fools & Horses re-runs ITV's grey haired detective couldn't possible be the same person😅

It is funny when people can't get around his British accent 😂 Of Black Adder was completely oblivious to Nigel Planer's Darling also being Neil from The Young Ones.
Derek Fowlds's mild stuck in the middle Bernard is also such a gear shift from dogged Oscar Blaketon it's hard to see them as one also.

A neat what-if River Irt style rebuild for Heywood's Ella.
Plenty of other goodies by Gubbin Box Models too.

Came across the freelance in an old issue of The Locomotive Magazine earnestly putting forward a Columbia as a sort of pre-A.R.L.E. & BR 'standard' for the UK railways.
Scaling it out it's actually smaller I thought but really like the design & tickled me for Henry who seems to love alt wheelbases 😂

Reference to him doing less spoofs as people trend follow more diverse entertainment?
Kind of interesting some like Taylor Swift manage to pull against that tide & sustain an insane fan base, but while it is an issue broadcasters are struggling choice is amazing if you can break through algorithms.

A good thing about streaming & the internet it's now easy to pick & choose, not like the dark days of just 3 1/2 channels if you grew up in Wales 😅
Personally was happy enough to watch Top Gear, but more so just the challenges & specials. End of the day though it's rare you can't escape a broadcast.

'Tis neat seeing the Edwards illustrations on the south & north coast approaches of Tywyn and approaching the stretched out Llyn Mwyngil via the Corris way is remarkable on a sunny day too, but for me it's passing Clywedog reservoir coming to the Talylyn via the Llanidloes-Machynlleth mountain road.

Unfortunately by the time I dropped some books off and came back with my cam this loco was out of commission but a lovely build. Not 100% if it's a freelance but a little reminiscent of an Andrew Barclay crossed with the George England Shannon of the Wantage Tramway.

Not many pics from the Swansea Model Railway Exhibition but it's always great to see a winter layout, this one capped off by its panoramic viaduct and the effective backdrop curving around to the sides. (1/2)

, particularly with Spong's wheel spacing.
A few stats could do with a little more refining but for Awdry's nose diving point have tried to give a fair shot at his rebalanced weight via the mechanically identical 30 & 34 classes and his rear heavy Belpaire feature.
Any questions or feedback welcome.

James being fictional makes him a tricky bugger to quantify but the Lancashire & Yorkshire retcon does provide a decent starting point & here's a table of the UK's inside cylinder moguls & 0-6-0s where comparable.
These sans Fowler tender refit edits are a bit ruff but show a RWS stepping stone(1/2)
