Maybe it's just me but I think supposedly opposition party could muster someone who hasn't publicly reveled in cruelty when planning a run against the most execrable human being ever to be president.

As a contrast we could rummage around in the couch cushions and find someone who is at least okay?

“Traumatized, humiliated, degraded.”

The nurse, a US citizen, 4’11”, 85 lbs, says she was following orders when she was dragged out of her car by masked immigration agents in Florida.

It was the 3rd time she had been stopped and told to produce ID.

Three times she’s been stopped and goons have demanded “show us your papers”.

And if they feel like it they smash your stuff, and pound on you; and all the while you know it’s going to happen again.

And you’ve done nothing more than be a person they felt like abusing.

These losers.

They don't actually care what the public wants, they just know they've created an electoral mess for themselves in 2026. So, they'll repeal to dodge accountability, but their union-busting bill will return.
GOP leaders have been in talks with labor unions to put a repeal of HB267, the so-called "union busting" bill, on the agenda for Tuesday's special session.

With a referendum looming in 2026, Republicans fear backlash if it stays on the ballot.

dred scott, in their minds, established the united states as a place of tiered citizenship and permanent inequality among americans. it was a ruling that said, in effect, that all men *were not* created equal and would *never* be treated as such.

I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.

Being trans disqualified you from being involved or having any say at all in the nyt coverage of trans people. That was true 5 years ago, and it’s true today.

It’s the definition of prejudice.
Ever wonder why the New York Times abandoned balance and impartiality to lead an old-fashioned newspaper crusade against trans equal rights?

In one of our most read stories for the year, @evanurquhart.bsky.social took readers behind the scenes at NYT.

I called the boat attacks murder as soon as the first one happened, but after reading the details of it all I think that undersells it. It was murder combined with torture. An utter atrocity for which everyone in the chain of demand, on up to Trump, deserves prison.

I’m beyond tired with liberalism taking solace in dissents from the liberal justices. THEY ARE MEANINGLESS WORDS. THE DISSENTS MEAN NOTHING.
Agree with this thread. Worth reading in full.

25 years ago John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, and AC Barrett all worked on GWBush's 2000 Florida recount team. What they're doing now is, if anything, more nakedly partisan.

Fire-breathing dissent by Kagan, with Sotomayor and Jackson.
They're not even trying to appear nonpartisan anymore.
