This time it's a water trap, but don't worry, there are plenty more creative ways to die out there 😅

What's your favorite trap in games or movies?
Mine's still the giant Indiana Jones boulder.

as a kid I always enjoyed that you can beat essentially every enemy with the exit spell (not sure about the name anymore) but you would get no EXP if you do.

I always loved Terranigma's snowy forests (with the yetis etc), which inspired this area.
By melting the ice, a deadly Ice-Tamanegi becomes a harmless Forest-Tamanegi.

It's maybe because it's less cell shaded and feels more like plastic style wise.

I always felt deserts can be amazing biomes when done right. 🌵
Alundra and Terranigma had great mechanics and surprises in their desert levels, but visually they felt a bit too monotone to me.
So I created unique mechanics and more lively vegetation.
