theyre both locked, but you get a free champion token when you first open the game, and another token for completing tutorial missions. besides that, you can buy characters with real money or the credits that you earn from playing matches (doesn't take too long to unlock them F2P)

league and other riot games are not the 2xko devs previous games though, its different teams. its produced by the founders of EVO and GGPO rollback netcode and the team is full of people we know in the FGC. lots of reason to have faith in the game that overshadow tangential reasons to doubt it imo

as far as we know, the 2xko team is doing their own thing with regards to balancing and its a GOOD team of people. no relation to league balancing. have faith 🙏
