We know that the way to fix modern sports games is kill microtransactions, but I'd go further. Kill any online play except 1v1. Bring retro teams back to Madden, and use an era-apropos filter. NBA 2K11/12 used a Jordan mode. Bring that back, but make it a different player every year.
