Sometimes I make a pretty thing and can’t believe I did that. My long time friend trusted me to make her beautiful wedding dress a few years ago and I’m still in awe at the 1000 hours of work hand stitching all those appliqués. 😅

I created these a long time ago. With the hope of making so many more & possibly Turing them into a children’s book of life lessons. A few years after I unearthed them again I realized how dark they are. Such lovely illustrations with very dark meanings. Not quite what we need to teach the children😅

My aunt taught me to cross-stitch when I was 10yo. It was the beginning of my fiber art journey. Over the years I’d make many a small animal/cute saying as gifts for family/friends. When I was in college I wanted to start incorporating more of my personal style. A teacher suggested I do my photos ⤵️

I will never get over how the digital manipulation era began when I was in college.
These were so fun to work on and they’re a riot to look at now, 20+ years later! Only one man is in each image, playing all the characters.

Monday I had my 1st legit assessment done (4.5hours was easy until my brain decided to be done ~45mins before we were 🫠) That crazy repetitive, scientific test, really reinforced how much I love pattern play, that I’m really good at recognizing patterns &their changes. #patterns #photography
