Yes. Trump is getting rid of an enabler turned potential threat who now serves no utility. At any point in the last decade, Comey could have moved to bring Trump to justice in a meaningful way. He didn’t. The closest he came was that early hearing, and now he’s more useful as an example to others.

This is no different than the alt-right politician from Europe (I’m blanking on her name 🤦♀️). When Conservative fringe members hosted her there was backlash (rightfully so). Now the same people are crowing about how Carney is some master strategist 🙄

16 years here & same! I just recently found out that he would read my university papers from our hard drive so that he could talk about my passion with me. He was long-haul at the time and barely home, but wanted to talk to me about everything. I’m talking sociological THEORY discussions, so DRY 😭
