Then this morning's run in Eco mode. A COP of 3.07 and only 1.5kW consumed. Obviously this isn't scientific but roughly the same amount of water gets used on these two days.

Change from Normal to Eco mode for DHW on the Vaillant. Here is a run on normal mode from 17/12/2024. Key points are a COP of 2.43 when running and almost 1.9kW consumed. 1/2

As per Mick's article, on Vaillant it runs at lower compressor rate. This is mine on the DHW run last night. There's a steep curve at the start which probably makes it a lot less efficient. Looking forward to finding out.
