I ugraded my PC, so here's the changelog for Sockbox 4:
32GB RAM (1866mhz for now)
Fedora 42 installed for win10 dual boot
A disturbing amount of dust removed
The power supply is now a slight fire hazard and I'm unsure if its fan is working
New Cat5e run directly to modem

Learn how to work on machinery/cars, plumbing, electrical, painting and plastering, wood and metal working, carpentry, HVAC, DYI, reduce/reuse/recycle, raise and grow crops, hunt.

These are the skills to have when society goes on a free fall, any skill to help yourself and your neighbors.

throwback to when i was in like 4th grade or so
we had a recess period before school started, beyblade was the hot shit at the time, but nobody could fit an arena in their backback, so we'd play on the flat end of a slide despite having to share it with kids actually using the slide. good times.

the zomboid run has begun to flourish. i baked sugar cookies for christmas and i'm gonna have enough calories to make it to spring. i'm also cranking out shortswords like the respawn rate doesn't even apply to me anymore.

i may ask the KM more about the business end of things because i simply want to learn about it after a solid 8 years in the industry. i doubt i'll go independent any time soon in this economy, but its something to consider for the future

this past year cooking at this job has been hectic but i think i'm gonna stay here for a while. the job market is fucked right now and i've got a good thing going with my bosses, so i'm willing to grit through the asshole clientele.

and honestly? i genuinely love cooking. it's therapeutic.

its been years since i played in a public school concert band yet it still fucks me up that if i wanted even a bad, used 3 valve euphonium its at least $600. a mid range 4 valve is like $800-1000
