Let us head into the distant past. This is the first #Nudibranch I ever took a photo of. Back in 2008 I had just moved to Abu Dhabi and spent my weekends along the coast diving. I had an old Olympus C-5050z with no strobes and no knowledge of slugs - this is Goniobranchus cazae

This little #Nudibranch belongs to the genus Diaphorodoris and is undescribed from the United Arab Emirates. It was the subject of taxonomic vandalism where some joker tried to name it by self publishing a copy and paste from Wikipedia of another species description from Baba.

It’s a gloomy day here in the UK today - so here is another Costasiella slug from the Philippines. These #seaslugs are always pretty photogenic - especially this one with the pink tips. It’s not a #Nudibranch technically.

This #Nudibranch is Caloria indica from the United Arab Emirates. It is a voracious predator of hydroids and so there is a good chance they sequester nematocysts for their own defence - a form of kleptopredation. It has also performed lessepsian migration through the Suez Canal.
