And then there is the day after......... and I hate Capitalism with a burning passion. And right now, I am too poor to "take advantage" of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" sales. I guess that is why I don't celebrate Christmas much either. Way too much Capitalism. I am an Atheist too.

But I can understand folks not caring about a holiday that is all about over eating.

Hence if I am going to refer to this holiday, I call it National Day of Gluttony.
True, I could focus on the family gathering. I am very lucky to have a loving family who I love and loves me. The food, I am allergic to turkey. So my family usual has roast beef instead.

Because the celebration of Thanksgiving is base off of a mythologist white wash version of history, I can't bring myself to celebrate Thanksgiving knowing what I know now about what happened to Indigenous people on Turtle Island after White Colonizers showed up.

One thing for days like Halloween and Christmas, I hate putting up decorations because it gives me another chore, taking down all the decorations. I hate chores anyway.
But for Thanksgiving, my relationship with it has change since I became an Anarchist.

But then I thought about it and yes, it is true. I don't make "special" days special for myself. I feel weird about it. Even my birthday is just another day.
