Yes. For sure there are journals with dubious peer-review processes and lower standards.

Take home is all physicians should have enough research training to be able to evaluate the evidence. And pay more attention to top tier journals (although that’s not always reliable).

We've all heard this. Has anyone seen any evidence for this claim?

Tracing this back through various papers, I found a 1988 paper that stated this with no evidence or citation.
