I dunno, man. It's all just... so... I dunno.
#Cinemon tonight at 10E, Boris Karloff brings us along on another classic Thriller with one of the few episodes where he served as more than just our distinguished host. Karloff joins the great Ed Nelson and Estelle Winwood for two supernatural and suspenseful tales in "Dialogues with Death."

Citizen Kane should have ended with a bloody samurai ambush fight. #SpaceApeCinema

Well, if his sword was his only friend, at least he didn't die alone.

Thank you for joining us for #SpaceApeCinema tonight. We loved to hate Tatsuya Nakadai this week, and we can hate him more next week as Kurosawa's Japanese King Lear. Join us for the classic RAN.

Hitchcock used Bosco. I'll go out on a limb and say these movies probably used something by Morinaga. #SpaceApeCinema

We've got 12 minutes to go and suddenly it's a ghost story. #SpaceApeCinema

Ichiro Nakatani (playing Utsugi) has been in a few #SpaceApeCinema features. He showed up in KWAIDAN and BLUE CHRISTMAS previously.

One of his very first roles was as a miner killed by the Meganuron worms in RODAN.

Okay, sure, if you want to skip ahead a year after that, I guess. #SpaceApeCinema

Second #SpaceApeCinema appearance from Michiyo Aratama, playing Ohama. We last saw her in KWAIDAN.

Heeeeeeeey. It's a significant part of the underwater music from GODZILLA VS. THE SEA MONSTER, which Sato scored for release this very same year. I'd know that anywhere. #SpaceApeCinema

I was afraid we'd have a Shadow of a Doubt portion of this film. #SpaceApeCinema

Always have to point out an appearance from the great Hideyo Amamoto (except when I didn't last week... d'oh). IMDB ain't kidding when they say he was one of Japan's most recognizable character actors. #SpaceApeCinema

I don't know the young Yoko Naito (playing Omatsu) from anywhere else, but funnily enough I know her daughter Mai Kitajima from her work as an 80s J-Pop singer. She only put out one album but I know it. #SpaceApeCinema

Director Kihachi Okamoto to Tatsuya Nakadai: just talk like you're a Shinto monk chanting constantly. #SpaceApeCinema

An expert swordsman? Does it really take that much skill to slice a helpless old man down the back? #SpaceApeCinema

I've been on such a Western show kick lately and it never ceases to hit me funny that most of those shows and these samurai movies take place at the same time, both the years they were made (largely the 1960s) and the setting (largely a hundred years earlier in the 1860s). #SpaceApeCinema

ICYMI, another great score tonight by Masaru Sato. #SpaceApeCinema
Listening to the score from tomorrow's Tatsuya Nakadai #SpaceApeCinema feature right now, THE SWORD OF DOOM.

This just as easily could have been a Masaru Sato marathon because he's done every soundtrack so far.
