Here I find peace.... And burned components, chemicals, blown power supplies, questionable repair jobs and headaches. Still, best place ever.

Aaahhhh. Titan.... Such good memories...

To be honest, this is one of the more impressive camera test platforms I have ever seen.
I wanna live there....

Got the opportunity to build an awesome bit of space technology a few months ago. It went around on Eurofurence with its owner @carbinecoyote.bsky.social

Some stuff is 3D printed and metal parts were added later. And custom fitted for this fursuit head without the need for magnets to stay in place

Fulfilled another item on my bucketlist. I have been on top of that! For 20 years I wondered what it would look like inside.

Unfortunately all the antennas and dishes up there are now gone. It's mostly empty except for radio and telecom. But I loved the 1970's history that one could see all around

Not much of a trash picker, but when I saw this bright white without a scratch microwave sitting homeless on the street I wondered why.

Took me 45 minutes to clean out the exploded cheese and air it all out. But it works fine and deserves a second life instead of the landfill now.

Prometheus without a doubt.

Never seen a flatscreen in beige and almost mimicking a crt monitor from the front.

Mind you only one dead pixel so far and running on the same caps it was born with. Top that with ya stinking monitors today...

The sea is where my species belongs.

...

And space although that is rather difficult to explain for a fish.
Still, a fine day it was....

Eyup, the summer is here and that outdoor unit is still indoors. Hopefully next weekend I can get it done. Otherwise I am not gonna risk printing big 3D parts during such heat indoors.

Thank goodness during the hottest days I will be out of the country.

Never thought somebody would care enough to get their DVD player fixed.

A good reason too get the Crt oldie out. Power switch was wiebelywably dodiedooo, so a little bit hoepsasa got it going.

Got two new printers up and running:
- A Prusa mini as a replacement for the Lulzbot 5. (Donation from work) To keep smaller projects going.

- And a Anycubic with filament storage unit for color or automatic refill.
To replace that Creality monstrosity.

Let's hope these will perform reliably.

Finished my home made tool trolley. It was a quick build because it was needed this weekend already.
It features an extension cord and sockets, work light, tip-over wheels for fast loading into a car. Adapter for sorting boxes.
A tea making set and a super annoying yellow light.

Thought I was smart using a can to hold my wires... x)

Oh it was a good deal, though some have been in the sun for too long. When it breaks up, they can be replaced by that time. Now working on the mobile trolley they are gonna be part of:

Don't even know why I brought this old relic back to life again. (Lots of dust and a cap in the PSU got roasted)

It's noisy and does only 100mbps even on the fiber side. But then again it's "vintage Apple" rainbow style and perfect paint work for over 22 years reminded me of good old times.

In part two of: How tolerant are the neighbors?

A second set of peavey Sp2's have been restored to working condition. They were more complete in parts than my previous ones.

Now looking for a 4 channel amp perhaps?
