Fixing to go to war with Venezuela because the USA wants their oil. Full stop. We are committing war crimes for fossil fuel. This is wrong on every level of ethical analysis I can think of, and if the US goes ahead with this it's more bad karma on top of a Mt Everest of sin.

This goes back to the premise that by protecting the most vulnerable, you protect everyone else. I'm cis queer; I love everybody, platonically. We hairless apes are all in this together after all. BTW, genocide is genocide no matter how you paint it.

Remember when that bill was passed a ways back that requires the USPS to fund the retirement system for like a millennium? That's where the money went. The USPS provides a service rural and small businesses depend on, and it would be solvent without the burden of abnormal pension funding.

I hate Oracle. They came to Austin TX, bought up a huge swath of land that formally held low income apartments, and gentrified the Town Lake area. I had hospice patients in those apartments, Lord knows where they ended up.

Churches that teach real Christian principles have /always/ been pro social justice. Because Jesus said we should: house the homeless, feed the hungry, cloth the naked, and embrace the immigrant. Being human means meeting human needs, sharing, giving a damn. It's clear as clean water.
