Oh yeah, they've been bad about that for a while. Deleted mine in 2017. People kept saying "dude just make a burner". But unless they can figure out who you are via other connecting info, they won't let you have an account.

Almost like there's a reason why you shouldn't be artificially locked to a specific repo (or "app store").

Hopefully they can publish the apk or host it on fdroid or another repo not owned by companies more afraid of business risk than existential risk.
