Made a pirate version of the cargo ship and also started working on a long range AWACS style ship (that I call in game SWACS)

It's nearly the end of the year so I wanted to reflect on my progress over the yearish. I started working more and more on my #indiegame and while I still have a lot to learn as a #gamedev I look forward to a year of mistakes, progress, and learning.

Spent today working on performance (both FPS and accuracy) of my CIWS seems pretty successful considering how many of them are raining hate on missiles (these are specifically PD heavy ships most won't have this much CIWS)

The Brigantine class, is the largest official class of ship currently serving the handful of remaining pirate coves hiding in the outer fringes of Sol. The destroyer boasts a heft armament of 24 Class C dual barrel rail cannons, and two VLS fed by a rotary magazine each allowing continuous fire.

How do you come up with features? I find I tend to look either at what other games do or I'll look at their communities to see what they are asking for. For example my repair system is a simplified version of Nebulous Fleet Command's system but with a bit more player agency.

Been working on some code for the drone HUD so I figured I'd share a close up of the railguns mounted to the front of the Wayfarer. As a light cruiser it doesn't have as many of the large guns as a battleship would be she can still kick ass.
