The main BAe Space Systems sites were at Stevenage, Portsmouth and science sats mostly Bristol. Bristol eventually closed down in mid 90s. But Stevenage and Portsmouth still here, but now Airbus Space UK. Stevenage being prime for Solar Orbiter, Gaia ESVM, Aeolus, Exomars Rover etc...

Yes, it was based on the GOES-1 and 2 satellites built ar BAE Space Systems, Bristol, UK. The instruments from various UK and European institutions.

Its worth pointing out that this is not a real-time movie. Its computer generated based on the few individual images taken during the descent. The last part, as lands, bounces and shadow, is animated from just one image and other sensor data.

Just to note that Prime contractor was Astrium (now Airbus) Germany with several other contractors and agencies involved, particularly Jaxa. Astrium/Airbus (UK, Stevenage) built Structure, Electrical, Chem. Prop., Separation and some other parts and bits of overal Test & System Engineering.
