Hey! Sorry for the long delayed answer, was on a bicycle trip around Spain for the last few weeks.
We use a Web-based teck for the UI and it's not really well supported on Linux-based OS.
It's something we're looking at but it means recreating the whole UI in new tech, it will take time 😕

It's rare for Steam to see a fan-game of this nature (meaning related to Halo) published on their platform so it's totally fair of them to double check.

The game will be available as soon as the build is verified, which can slip after October 22nd by a few days.
