No one ever said they were. The point is Kamala wasn't "very progressive" as the other person claimed. She was closer to the center where most of the country is.

say "Told you so!" which resulted in advances like animal welfare ratings, free range, grass-fed, etc. On abortion progressives relied on court victories and acted like it was settled. They're doing the same on gun violence. So we get decades between progress and zero tolerance for the anti- side.

Well, I'd blame that on a lack of a grassroots movement. When progressives were working for women's rights there was a constant push for the amendment that kept the issue in the news. Same with PETA and animal rights. Every time there's an outbreak of listeria or what not they are there to

Oh I don't think she was insincere. Quite the opposite. She ran as those things because she is those things.

If it's your first one find some hippies and introduce yourself. They've likely done it before and know how to stay safe. If at any point you ever feel uncomfortable you can always bail. You did the hard part and showed up. Next time will be better.

and how to limit their chants to the approved list. Not worth it! So just go. Leave your phone at home, take public transportation, have a little cash for an emergency, arrange a rendezvous point, wear good shoes, UPF+hat over sunscreen just in case, extra water, and most importantly relax.

The neoliberal jab was probably the most fuzzy but she is still pro-capitalist, pro-market and sees working with business as a solution.
The other things were her trying to appeal to people to the right. There's no arguing that that's what she was doing.

Are you just making stuff up now? The communist party of Iran is secular and left wing. Left wing is generally anti-hierarchy so it would be strange to find one that is pro-oppression.

Doesn't matter. Left wing parties can have individual policies that are incongruent. Communists supported the NEP. Communists currently support market socialism. In general they are still left wing. Democrats, liberals, and progressives are not.
