A flash in the sky, a ripple in the clouds...

And an air-rendingly loud KRAKOOM.

These three phenomena preceded an object slamming into a barren tract of land on the southern edge of the Isle of Berk, kicking up debris in a massive cloud that reached the sky itself.

There, in a crater, was a

Spectronite, the crystals formed at the birth of a new Spectroid, can be used to harm them, as it maintains

manipulation, so this can be considered one as well.

Magic... is a toss up. They can absorb some forms of it, but most of the time it hits them like any other species, effect-wise. Case in point, a fireball can singe their skin, but to a far weaker degree than others. In Jerome's

Depriving a Spectroid of all energy is a way of capturing them, though this is often more easily said than done. Unless you can deprive them of literally any source of energy, the smallest photon can make them powerful enough to escape.

They aren't particularly resistant to mind

Spectroids have few weaknesses, the unique nature of the species ensuring that the universe is, thankfully, only ever dealing with one at any given time.

They do have their flaws, though.

along with speckles of light across her skin that look like stars.

The air itself gets colder around her, the form making her resemble the endless expanses of space her species was born from.

The form itself has the most striking physical changes between it and Nova Mode, with her entire body being drenched in vantablack shadows from how efficiently she's absorbing the photons hitting her. The only lit parts are her hair tuft, the 'E' on her chest, and those brilliant eyes of hers,

the 'Supernova Mode', where by agitating the structure of her atoms, she can drastically increase her amplification rate to levels that are frankly overkill, at the cost of depowering her for a day or two from the atomic instability.

When sufficiently charged, she can energize her atoms with Spectroplasm in a state known as 'Nova Mode', where she gains stellar
