Enzo would like to wish all who celebrate a Happy First Frisbee Slobber Icicle Beard of the winter!

Saw all the aurora posts and thought well, might as well get up and check it out. Wow.
The night sky out our window in a pretty urban area, but with the help of a 3-second exposure, the sky has a greenish tinge at the horizon and brilliant fuchsia streaks above. It was also visible without the camera.

Enzo the Frisbee Dog, up on top of the hill. It has a different name, but to him it's Frisbee Hill. We are quite the team, and I have to say that on the rare days I decide to try to take pictures, I am both thrower and photographer. Please clap. Anyway, it's pure joy.

Waltham, MA: about 2000, so I read. City of 60k, and many probably went to Boston instead. Well-run and joyous!

Enzo the black and white border collie gamely posing before a massive downed tree and all its branches. The tree is somewhat elevated off the ground, so between its circumference and height off the ground, it comes up over Enzo's shoulders. He made it over all the trunks and branches pretty easily; I took a little longer.

Shoutout to @massdcr.bsky.social for quickly taking care of a downed tree on the route of the Western Greenway 5K. Behold their handiwork, and Enzo being weird about being asked to pose for a photo (he is not a fan).
A trail in the woods lined with at least a dozen sawed sections of tree trunk, each about a foot high (25 cm), and some larger sections of tree on each side. It was a truly massive tree that was pretty hard to climb over when it was blocking the path. Enzo, a black and white border collie, posing with his front paws on a sawed tree section lying on the rounded side. He's kind of stretched out, almost like a show dog, and has his head pointing upward, in line with his back. His tongue is lolling out of his mouth. I guess this is what happens when I say "stay" and he takes me quite literally.

This is my sign. It reads: Revolution 2.0. Fully crowd-sourced. Major bug fixes. Cookies you can eat. And on the bottom, in smaller print: People Power, Inc., Right On. It's on a whiteboard, an idea I accidentally came up with when I couldn't find the posterboard at Staples. It's very lightweight, and you can change your sign up for the occasion! A sign that looks like it was made by little kids (because it was) reads "Power to the people not the thrones!! boo!!" I promised the young ones' mom that I was photographing only the sign. A sign reads "Not a paid protester. I hate fascism for free." A sign reads "Fought Nazis in WWII. Wearing his Antifa Uniform." Under that text is a young man in an old photo wearing a military uniform. Under the photo the text reads: "And his manifesto was the U.S. Constitution."

Joyous, raucous, peaceful turnout in Waltham, MA for #NoKings! Probably more than in June, but will wait for the numbers. A few curmudgeons, but mostly supportive honking. This is what democracy looks like!
Looking down the street, on the right side is a sign that reads "Pro America, Anti Trump." Cars are driving by. They are mostly honking. A sign reads "We Say No." A sign with a small American flag taped to it reads "Here Today because I heart America." A sign reads "Stand up for your right. Here;s a W. Some trans friends said that 2 Dem TERF groups were holding an event at the VFW post in our town. Went up with this little sign to join them in protest. By the time I got there, they told me the VFW learned from them what the groups were about, and said nope, and kicked them out.

The first draft in my head said, "And I said fuck that shit," but I went for the doggerel. It turns out that when the VFW learned what the groups were all about, they basically said "fuck that shit" and told them to go home.

Sometimes, when it’s a cool morning and I have a lot of greens and mushrooms, I remember that oatmeal can be savory. If you already knew that, let this be a reminder, and if you didn’t? You’re welcome. 🍽️
