The Autumn colours didn't last as long this year due to a couple of untimely storms, but just occasionally overnight snow on Krn along with late afternoon golden light makes up for it.

Thanks, recovering now but a rheumatic disorder attacked my muscles and ligaments so no more long walks in the mountains. But I'm lucky that I can take shots like this from just 25 metres from my house and I can now ride my ATV again.

You're most welcome. When I moved here to Slovenia I'd planned to travel to places like Tuscany but an illness stopped that for 3 years. Hope to make it soon. But I can recommend Slovenia if you need any new locations. One of my (strictly amateur) shots for instance.

Loads - my native Scotland has some lovely ones, while my adopted home of Slovenia is known as the land of waterfalls, This is one our best local ones - Slap Kosjak.

Just a little phone snap of an April evening view over Dreznica, Slovenia, just before sunset. (Pizza was in the oven so no time to get the big camera)

My regular followers will know of my admiration for the books of Linda Gillard. Her latest novel, just released is Time's Tyranny, a sequel to the excellent Times Prisoner

Me too. When I go outside and look at the view down the valley and the hairs on my neck don't rise I'll know it's time to arrange the funeral. It never fails.

Lots of changes - I now live in Slovenia in a lovely village in the mountains. Still have the Edinburgh house but have only been back once in 4 and a half years due to developing a nasty rheumatic condition. Now resolved but left me with knee problems that will need a replacement op.

it's a landscape photograher's dream. There's quite a few more on my media list. Keep meaning to build a website for them but have always been too busy with client sites.

To celebrate you finishing Gemini, here's a photo of Gemini shortly after it was printed. 1000 copies, in the room we used for book talks at James Thin in Edinburgh, after I'd unpacked them all and Dorothy had signed them all, ready to be sent out worldwide.
