Okay, I just wrote this, #TBBChat. I was inspired by a few things.

1. Rom-com cannibal horror
2. There was this one game I watched FunkyFrogBait play Dead Plate.
3. Fusion of genres. What did I try to fuse along with the other mentioned elements? Mafia stuff. Yes, they have to deal with the mafia.
Things had been going so well. A little too well. The must be why this had to happen. Here Vincent was. Dead. On the floor. Bleeding his damn brains out onto the white tiled floor. Luigi stared down at corpse, wide-eyed, unable to fully process what had happened. "Well, at least he won't be coming around, asking for protection money anymore", joked the way too calm and cool Jack. Damn him. Why did he have to push Vincent towards the table?! It was just standard business. Jack's little comment was enough to crack through Luigi's frozen shock. "Yeah! But all his buddies are going to come around! Doesn't matter that it was an accident. They'll have me killed", Luigi shrieked, gesturing wildly as he spoke. He threw off his chef hat and pulled at his hair. He started to rant and rave as he paced, cursing all the while. "What the fxxx am I going to do!? They're going to come after me! After all of us! What am I going to do about the body?! Should I call the cops?" Luigi whirled around, pointing a flaring, accusatory finger straight at Jack. "And you! You're fired!" Jack lifted his hands up, as if calling for peace. "Woah, woah, woah! Let's not be too hasty in firing people, alright? I think I have a great way to help. Just don't fire me, and uh, well…", Jack gestured to the state of the art cafe kitchen around him. Luigi didn't pick up on it. "Well what?" "You've got a meat grinder, don't you?"

I took a picture of this bunny to use as a reference. I love round, bunny loaves. It causes so much cuteness aggression in me.

Anyways, I'm finding it a challenge to not draw cute animals,put wings on them, and then call them fairies.

Fairies are so much more, but look at HOW CUTE THE BUNBUN IS 😍

What flavor is your OC?

I don't have a drawing of Owen, but I can say that his flavor is some sort of mushroom. He's got umami vibes, works well with others, feels lots of stuff, loves to dance (as all mushrooms do).

Owen is a character from a short story in Fairy Seasons.

The Shadow on the Wall is a poetry book celebrating all things horror and Halloween. There's a humorous bent to most of the poems. A really cool writer described the book as "cozy horror", so I'm leaning into that.

Sunlight penetrated the canopies and dappled the leaf covered path they followed. Moss and various fungi covered as many surfaces as possible. Mushrooms of several hues and species fruited all over. The leaves of the trees swayed softly with the breeze. Rory could not get enough photos of the scenery. He wondered for not the first time if he had enough film for the rest of the hike. To Owen, however, trees were becoming more, somehow, as if scooting closer and closer to block the brothers in. They weren't any taller than the trees from before, and yet, when he looked up, he felt a dizzying, overwhelming sense that he couldn't actually see the leaves of the trees, but the bottom gills of giant mushrooms.
