Yes it wasn't perfect, there are things I wish I did, intuitiveness I wanted to add, but I already had to fight for what I did and it ended up being the one map I'm still proud of because of it.

I made my strawberry jam map going completely the opposite way of not 'fixing' that gameplay, letting it be called a weird map, letting things be a little esoteric to my taste. And I Got Messages Years Later Asking to Fix The Map Which is Not Broken.

I think a huge huge part of this is when I had people playtest my maps, anything that wasn't the "intended solution" was a bug to be patched out. I foolishly listened when i made cave-in cavern and now i think it sucks bc of the way i had to make it so strict to play, it affected normal gameplay.

while I agree with you I dont think egoraptor is a particularly good example? unless i misunderstand, falling out of doing animations was more to do with having a full-time job elsewhere (even if it was yt), and not to mention flash being put down. iirc he still draws tho, mentioned on gg sometimes.
