just blurted out in class "yes, you have to cite where you got your info. in a world in which lying loudly is the only thing that seems to get rewarded, citing your sources is an act of resistance" and folks, I really believe that.

"The Dobbs decision led to a 7% increase in overall infant mortality and a 10% increase among infants with congenital anomalies. "

Abortion care is inextricable from maternal care and from infant care, and outlawing abortion is a cruelty with immediate consequences.

If you revoke approval of the polio vaccine, it means you want more polio. That’s not even a joke, that’s just math.

WE ARE STILL IN THIS.
Wipe your tears.
This is the difficult business of hope and defying expectation.
We do not give up.
We run through the tape.

Y’all aren’t allowed to throw in the towel until I do. 😉

Big breath. Locked in. Let’s do this.

Finance Minister resignations are rare. This is not a Morneau-Trudeau resignation (which was cloaked in misinformation about motives until Morneau's book came out). It is much closer to Martin resigning from Chretien's cabinet or Turner resigning from P. Trudeau's cabinet.

This past legislative session in Alberta sums up the populist approach to rights and freedoms pretty well. The populist UCP has passed legislation to protect the premier and her partisan staff while removing rights from trans children and their parents. drjaredwesley.substack.com/p/populism-f...

This moment in Bluesky is a great example of how joy itself can be defiance and resistance.

We are just hanging out, shitposting, being silly, happy, and normal. It is being treated as if it is transgressive, opting out of the endless negativity. Because in a way, it is.

Joy is my favorite weapon.
