My Steam Deck should be here tomorrow, but it'll be a few days before my docking station gets here. I already got a big microSD card, so at the very least I can set things up and give handheld play a try before I can do some game time on the TV.

So...this month officially marks 15 years that I've been covering Sonic news for you all.

1,000s of articles written on multiple Sonic fan sites, live streams, podcasts, radio shows...it has been an amazing ride.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for 15 years of hope, encouragement & support. You've all been there from the start. I'll never forget that. You put up with my dumb, untalented, boring personality & monotone, dull, stumbling voice. That means more to me than you'll ever know.

I highly doubt my mental health will ever truly improve. I just feel so isolated & alone & it has only made me feel more unloved and unwanted.

Still, my depression can't ignore 15 years of encouragement & support from you all. It helps. A lot.

I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I may be in my 30s, but I still love video games.

Still...my mental health has only gotten worse over the past 15 years. Emotionally, I feel like a zombie now. My depression is very bad. So, the escapism of games...help. A lot.

But I think a major reason I've stuck around for so long is because of all the support you all have given me. Knowing there's people in this community that tolerate me, let alone like me? I don't think I'll ever comprehend that.

I've seen so many people in the community come and go. Sometimes I'm amazed I've lasted here as long as I have myself!

There were actually a few times I contempted it, but ultimately decided no. I love this damn franchise too much.

It's hard to believe how different things are now compared to 2010. Live streaming & social media was still new. SEGA and the Sonic brand didn't have the fame and wealth it has now.

I also got told to shut up a lot. lol

What a journey. I can't wait to see where it goes next.

So, the Sonic Hacking Contest's Contest Week begins this weekend! I finished my evaluations already, but this year marks my 10th year as a judge! I'm still amazed that I've been doing it that long. lol

Finally some good news: it seems that kitty's blood sugar levels may be starting to stabilize. We also finally got a working sensor and app to take blood sugar readings.

We'll see what happens, but it seems that his vet trips can decrease for now!
