Ooo, I didn't remember the Black Death chapter. I now want to re-read it, since it's probably been twenty years since last I did.

Again.

Good or not, it's always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

Oh yes, absolutely. It’s infuriating. I was just pointing out that the experience of going out to the movies, which is always preferable for me, is also being diminished by the corporate dweebs, along with that tween who was kicking the back of my seat for the first 45 minutes of Wicked.

It hasn’t. Ads before the scheduled start time has been standard for a while, but the new thing is showing ads after the advertised start time, in between trailers.

I generally agree, but the corporate fuckery machine is also doing their best to ruin the movie-going experience. See: 30 minutes of pre-show that now includes ads mixed with the trailers (which I know are also ads, but at least they’re movie related.)

“I’m Theo.”

That’s a crime. It should be in the top five, let alone top twenty.

Those folks are missing the boat on alt text. Not only do they help expand your post to more people, they’re a great opportunity to meta-post: you can add funnies, enhance understanding, or subtly shitpost (or not so subtly).

The Palace Guard has gotten a little lax since last I was on that side of the pond.

I would see that again and again.
