...gets to be happy, and everyone who is bad, or at least not a good person, is suitably punished. I don't know if it's just lack of exposure to these kinds of stories, or people just wanting their media to be escapist given the state of the world (which is understandable imo), but Wicked is not...

I'm seeing so many people confused about the ending or even straight up mad at it? And I'm...it feels like a lot of people are not used to endings of a story having a tragic element to it, like the expection is it MUST have a perfect golden ending where everyone who deserves happiness...
