Sorry, I didn't look up the date. Just going off my memory of seeing it in the theater. It was gradually released, so maybe I saw it in 1990 because I wasn't living in a major market then.

I was there last night. We got there 30 minutes early, and the council chambers were full. They put us in an overflow room with a capacity of 92. There were easily 300 people crammed in there, so they opened another room, which also filled up, so people waited in the rotunda. It was wild!
