Guess we should repost our thread of #Brigador inspired community works plucked from our discord server’s becks-best channel. From all the way back in 2018 it began with "Brigador static" by charles-the-cat...

We're aware of the imgur blockage that literally just happened making the images not visible to UK users and are reuploading things, though it can take a minute for things to clear on Steam's end

A few more things can be read in the post that don't fit neatly into a thread, like the inventory capacity system
A picture of Dave's inventory with some RPG rounds, a Jerry Can, some shotgun shells and a couple of other things because Dave is a busy person

...Since firearms are wielded by the player, they're rendered out at the full 128 sprite rotations, meaning they can appear on the ground pointing any available direction.
All the different infantry weapon sprites facing different orientations.

One big difference between the sprites for ammo boxes and the sprites for the weapons is for legibility purposes the ammo drops are only rendered from one angle...
All the different ammo boxes facing the same direction

[Ammo pickups are objects in tiled - the map editor we use - and objects can have custom properties, so we can manually set what the ammo count of a pickup is]
A screenshot of WYSIWYG map editor Tiled highlighting the custom properties of an object A copy of the same ammo box as before but this time with 80 rounds of ammo inside it

Same goes for ammo drops, but instead you get an ammo count to tell you how many rounds a box has
Dave examining a box of 9mm FMJ ammo lying on the ground in-game which has an ammo count of 40

Bsky's being weird about posting GIFs today 🤷‍♀️ but we do have images! When you mouse over a weapon on the ground you'll get a little info box telling you what sort of gun it is, how much space it'll take up in your inventory and a silhouette to quickly ID it.

I get it. Friendly fire isn't but I'm not sure we also want the entire neighborhood to recognize us.

How'd he get that thing anyways?
