Thankfully that was about how old I was when I watched them, so haven't totally embarrassed myself! Thank you!

I used to love them!! I was young at the time, so forgive me if they, themselves, were dumbed down!

Also, I thought you could defer the payment until sale or death. Might help with her inheritance tax bill!

Am tempted to say it's symbolic of what British "patriotism" has become.

If "they know" I'm sure they'd remembered how frothy mounted they got when the Union Jack was coloured differently on an previous sorts top. Seems this requirement doesn't apply to their own offerings.

And I thought Farage was just Boris Johnson without the "charm"!

The £1 "mandatory" lottery entry piques my curiosity. I wonder why? Forced to provided more contact details perhaps?

Seems like part of tri-defecter of fake patriots. Only one left to be caught out now.
November 28, 2025 at 1:12 PM
You weren't to know! But kudos to you for acknowledging it. 👏🏼

Pretty sure he's had a serious illness over the past couple of years. He's never said, but he kept out of the limelight for that time due to "someone's" ill health.

"Feed the 5,000? I've only got a couple of loaves and some fish!!"
November 28, 2025 at 11:22 AM
More people with disposable income than the "broken Britain" crowd would have you believe, it seems! Having grown up in a working class background with a (very frugal) father who invested in stocks and shares, this one actually seems like a good idea to me, but I appreciate I'm in the minority.

"Yes, but what's his vision? They say." 🙄 Might as well belt out a Whitney Houston song to emphasise it.
November 27, 2025 at 4:01 PM
It's the gas chamber accusation that I can't see he can get round. It's targeted, specific and deeply, deeply abhorrent. I remember Farage having a photo op with a war veteran during the WFA furore last year. Imagine how he would have felt knowing Farage held those views?

Agree 💯.

Hopefully there will be enough press attention paid to this to force the SRA's hand.
November 27, 2025 at 11:04 AM
"Reasons to suspect dishonesty" is an often quoted justification for intervention. Seems to fit the bill here. Sadly, the SRA have a reputation in some circles of mainly going for "low hanging fruit" (IE individuals/firms that are unlikely to have the means to fight)

It's a legitimate question, surely? Whether it's by accident or design, that's for others to judge, but he has certainly put more effort into enhancing Putin's power, than that of this country.
November 26, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Would it be fair to say that this is more of a "defensive" budget due to the actions of the present incumbent "over the pond"? Might have been a little more ambitious if there wasn't the concern about the erratic "tariff happy" president. Or is that too generous?
November 26, 2025 at 6:50 PM
I thought the same thing at the time. I'm guessing this is because there may be evidence of equally racist behaviour later on in his life too.
November 26, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Presumably outside the chamber, stomping his feet.
November 26, 2025 at 1:12 PM
That is also fair comment. We've both been in the jury room, so we know how it actually works (or at least how it worked in ours). No option is perfect, but I will think again on my perspective, thanks for your contribution.
November 26, 2025 at 12:39 PM
I take your point, but would hope that would be countered by a breadth of genders in a jury. I also accept (having been in a jury also) that it is affected by the most vocal/skilful orators in a jury too. It's a really tough call.
November 26, 2025 at 12:30 PM
Good point, and I am sure there was a report in the recent past about judges, while not necessarily inherently misogynistic, lacking an understanding from a feminine perspective. I'm not convinced this is a good replacement of jury trials, but I haven't seen the studies from other countries yet.
