Nobody hates the Democratic party more than a true progressive.
The thing about the "I voted against this" position Schumer is taking is that either he is trying to mislead Dem voters by implying he didn't support reopening right now, or he has no control over his caucus.

What does a risk pool mean when 100% of participants will require medical services at some point?

Health insurance isn't insurance, it a payment plan with extremely bad terms.

That thing where someone is so close to getting the point yet will never get there.
Tell me you don’t understand risk pools without telling me you don’t understand risk pools

November 10, 2025 at 1:08 PM
A man walks up to a newsstand every day, looks at the front page, and walks away.

Finally the newst. operator calls over, "what are you looking for? Every day you just look at the front page and leave"

Man: an obituary

Newsman: its at the end of the paper

Man: the one I want will be on page 1!

I've said it before: everything giant pandas do makes more sense if you imagine they are six drinks in on a Friday night.

But I feel like we haven't fully celebrated their triumphant return. See, the giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is no longer Endangered.

A conservation success story!

Alt: a panda bear is sitting on a wooden platform with toys, it barrels through them, falls, and manages to roll down every part of the stairs, as if on purpose. Just agent of chaos behavior.

The "problem" of renewable energy is owning your production capacity. Your electricity becomes mostly one-time purchase you can amortize over years, instead as a means to buy more fuel.

Once you buy capacity, there isn't much else to pay for beyond storage and wear & tear.

So I'm from all over Britain, are my biological pronouns he/him because of the English, sé/é for of the Irish, thu/e for the Scottish, or e/fe for of the Welsh? Am I just born with one set or do I have to rotate them out? Do I use the German er/ihn/ihm for leap year since i got a little of that?
