This mid century house is a bit pricier but it has a view of cornfields. Aqua counters might make small town life worthwhile...

Like, I'm good friends with the sellers (who moved to Taos, NM) and I've house sat for them many times and can't describe how unique this place is. It's in the middle of the city but feels like it's in the country! Wood burning stove! Chicken coop! It's a total gem.
