Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

For the first time in my life I’m a paid up member of a political party.

Because only one party is talking about what’s killing the economy right now.

And it’s wealth inequality.

1600 homeless deaths and a massive spike in billionaires are not independent events.

And I had to do SOMETHING.

A slightly more benevolent view than mine. Well played.

The Bishop of Birmingham has written to the Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick about his comments about Handsworth

Quite. Where is the focus on brownfield sites? Why are they so close to the same developers who, as an industry, were responsible for Grenfell? Where is the innovation? Where are the new construction methods? Why are countless empty offices not being converted into new city communities?
steveprior.bsky.social
I’ve looked long and hard at what Robert Jenrick has said on many subjects from the cladding scandal (caveat emptor) to migration and in fairness it’s impossible to conclude anything other than he is a cunt. Sorry mum.

When you read about women and children in asylum hotels for more than 2 years, this is not British. Because it’s not humane.

A government that complains about productivity and 1 million young people not in work could surely fashion a programme to process claims. And get both groups into work.

Creativity is a well.

You don’t top it up, it runs dry.

It’s as simple as that.

We can have cheaper electricity by changing the way prices are calculated and reducing profiteering, we don’t need to burn our planet too.

This is what bad politicians do.

They conflate a problem with a solution that doesn’t fix the problem.

But usually benefits their supporters…
steveprior.bsky.social
Politicians suffer what simple people in business suffer from.

They see a problem and rush out a solution.

Whereas the intelligent approach is:

See a problem

UNDERSTAND the causes

Then, and only then, address the causes which fix the problem.

Hard work but worth it. Ready to start planting for 2026. Hydrangeas, Alliums, Astilbes and Yew balls… oo er missus.

When do you see not one but two Nobles in the same place.

Macron finally saying what any sane observer has been saying for a decade. Social media companies should have been regulated as publishers from day one. If they’d been held to the same account we wouldn’t be in this mess.

Did I hear HIGNFY last night say Euan Blair’s company was in the running to deliver it? I do eventually need to find someone I can vote for who isn’t a member of the crony party…

Racing friends. Is this Non Partant any good in the saddle on a tight course?

Designed a new border but got to get an old laurel out. Been at it for several weeks. Killing me slowly…

Mainly around political reform and defence.

I disagree fundamentally with the Greens on one or two policies but at last a party under @zackpolanski.bsky.social nails its

The problem with our society isn’t migrants. It isn’t protest. It isn’t multiculturalism.

It’s greed.

It’s massive wealth inequality.

Horrific inequality.

Rising minimum wage pushes up all wages.

Which pushes up costs but also worker spending power.

What drives up the real cost to consumers is:

Energy
Taxation
Profiteering

It’s fine to say wages are higher but not to acknowledge spending power is higher too is disingenuous.

If Labour came out tomorrow and said:

‘Yes we too are sick of the Mone’s of this world having it off with your money, and we’re going after all of them. From Starbucks to Amazon to the VIP fast lane…’

They would win the next ten elections in a hack canter.
steveprior.bsky.social
They don’t. You’re right.

In turbulent times people look for strength.

Which is why we need a strong and determined positive vision of Britain 2.0.

And we need education that the world is always turbulent. Always.

If you don’t like what’s being said, change the conversation.

This morning Labour MPs could have been talking about a bold policy announcement. A new vision. An idea.

Three guesses what (who) they’re talking about … sigh.
steveprior.bsky.social
Starmer falling into the same old trap as US democrats.

Stop talking about your opposition.

You’re gifting billions in FREE media.

Set out YOUR vision.

You can never prove someone else is wrong.

You can only convince me you are right.

Current Labour advisors are seriously flawed.
