Cyclist, Wolves fan, Dylan acolyte, politically centre/ left, eternally grateful to the NHS and probably woke!
It was available from Badlands in the UK, a record shop in Cheltenham. The online sale was like a "hot ticket" scramble; I had a copy in my basket but failed to get through checkout about five times. Don't worry about me though, I'll live!

For some reason I've always thought of Pfeiffer as one of the smaller riders in the peloton. Her comments about Paris Roubaix sparked me into checking her height, and she's 5'8". So not small at all (by cyclist standards anyway) #howwrongcanyoube?

Great album, and there is an excellent "Classic Albums" documentary about it. Well worth keeping an eye out for this when it get's reshown (on BBC2 in the small hours of a Saturday/ Sunday) if you haven't seen it. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b...

Positing, not panicking 😉, but GCN and GCN+ are very different entities offering entirely separate content. I know people who never watch GCN as they find the content puerile, but they still pay for GCN+ for the live racing and serious documentaries. Neither one can replace the other.

That type of person does actually exist. Take a bow Greg Jackson, founder and CEO of Octopus Energy, who was the subject of a recent Desert Island Discs. He has an upliftingly altruistic outlook on life www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

From what I've read, general insider consensus is that GCN+ was profitable. Given that the new owners tried, and failed, to sell it a few months ago, it leads me to the disheartening conclusion that corporations only accept BIG profits now, which doesn't bode well for a comparatively niche sport.
