Spent some time with Claude Code this weekend and genuinely impressed. After an initial aversion to its interface, I now see the benefit. Having it inside Cursor has been fun, can really focus on requirements while also retaining control and can review its changes quickly.

In the Apple store in downtown Vancouver today looking at a Mac Mini for home and, unprompted, the Apple employee helping me showed how to turn off Apple Intelligence on both desktop and mobile. He said it was a really common request to get it turned off 😬

In response to the American tariffs, I have directed government and crown agencies to exclude US suppliers from any new purchasing or procurement agreements.

Just got back from an awesome 2 week trip to Japan with the family. First holiday where we found tools like ChatGPT made an impact on our trip; from translating images to helping to create itinerary’s. First time I’ve really enjoyed using it for something outside of work.

The majority of my Threads feed had turned into people complaining about the position of the power button on the Mac mini. I’m not sure what I fed the algorithm to think this was an important issue to me…

Just found the experimental setting for threaded mode here. Finding this a nicer browsing experience than threads so far.

Seeing a lot of folks I used to follow on that other site moving here. Tried Threads but way more tech folks seem to be here. Feels like the old twitter so far!
