Does a horizontal scrolling list of programs get more interaction than carousels? 🤔 Horizontal scrolling feels like a no-no, but with touchscreens and trackpads everywhere, maybe I’m just showing my age. That said, I do love being able to filter programs right from the homepage. www.oberlin.edu

There's a growing trend in higher-ed of hiding menus on desktop sites under either a menu/hamburger button or icon. My instincts says this is a negative for user experience. NN Group researched this in 2016 and found as much. Anyone (maybe site owners on this path) done any recent UX research?
