One would hope with all the secrecy and backroom deals related to LRT, Lansdowne 1.0 and 2.0, Tewin, and the Taggart dump (who is also behind Tewin) that the soon-to-be-one-term Mayor Sutcliffe would realize that this is not what local democracy is about. Is the new Senators' arena at LeBreton next?

The 67s situation is a bit curious. The Jr A club, which has a strong fan following, is owned by OSEG but they are willing to put them in a much smaller arena. In contrast, the PWHL/Ottawa Charge, who draw a smaller crowd, stated that the smaller stadium doesn't work for them.

Does that then mean if Ford doesn't take over the LRT, it will cost billions to local taxpayers? And guess what, we also pay taxes to the Province so we are still not off the hook.

While we get "robbed" for building the 401 tunnel for $50 billion, $1.5 billion for the new Science Centre in Toronto and other worthy mega-projects in the GTA.
