Btw the shadow above the uneed UI in the Reddit thread picture looks somehow strange.
Maybe it's just me, but I would expect the shadow to only be in the background and not above your UI?!

I can relate ... Did a lot in my app with Constraint Layout back in the day.
For the more complex screens I just try to translate it into constraintlayout-compose. So it's at least compose already.
But idk if that's a good solution for a small fix 😅
