How it started vs. How it's going!

Thanks to @flothesnitchy.bsky.social and @lilinnaion.bsky.social for fixing a nearly 13-year old issue regarding the New Romulus lore. #StarTrekOnline
Broken text! The History of New Romulus: Volume 4, Chapter 5 Three of Mother and Father's friends joined us for supper tonight. Sepin, Veka, and Temen. Sepin is a hydraulics engineer who works on Deck 9. Sometimes she is called on to repair the irrigation pipes in the hydroponics lab. She didn't say much tonight. Come to think of it, she doesn't say much ever. I suppose you run out of things to talk about after spending so many years enclosed with the same people. Still… She stirred and stirred her plomeek soup all throughout supper, and barely touched her gespar. Mother told me later it's because Sepin is sad, and misses her children. I wonder what that means. I've never seen her with any children. Veka also works in the labs, tending to the tri'hla flowers. Some of the elders say she's moody and reactionary, but she seems sweet to me. She reminds me of Grandmother. Father believes others are too rash in their judgement, and that Veka is only jaded because of her old age. She has witnessed more than most. She has also lived longer than most, and therefore remembers Vulcan better than any of us. Father says Veka is not built for life aboard a ship, that she dreams of settling down on a Minshara planet in her lifetime, and that dreams are what keep us alive. As for Temen… I'd rather not talk about him. I don't know what Mother and Father see in that man. He's old, odd, and stalks the hallways at night. Thell calls him a khalagu. Like Sepin, Temen was quiet during supper. But unlike her, he looked at me with an intensity I dare not describe...
