Newcomers: Welcome!

I write, mostly comics. They include the Eisner-nominated Stanley's Ghost from StormKids/StormKing, Viking Queen from Source Point Press, & Gotham Girls (collected as Harley Quinn & the Gotham Girls) from DC Comics. I've also written for Marvel, IDW, Moonstone Books, & more.
Stanley Squirrel and his animal friends huddle in the foreground as mostly shapes loom around the silhouette of a creepy mansion in the background. The ble-haired Viking Queen brandishes two axes next to a mysterious woman in a hooded robe while a tentacle-faces horror looks in the background. A grinning Harley Quinn, in her original costume, looms above the Harley Quinn and the Gotham Girls logo. Below her, a more reserved Poison Ivy looks on.

Abbott & Costello was a whole 'nother movie!

I expect most of them have no idea that it was the first.

Perhaps they just tuned into a TV rerun when "Faro-li, Faro-La" was being sung? 😁

Seems to me there were some similar gaffs in The Wolf Man. At one point he was wearing a white tank top when he transformed, then he's wearing the long-sleeved shirt when he's roaming the city.

Later, in Vasaria, he's roaming the hills as The Wolf Man, barefoot. When he wakes in the caves under Frankenstein's castle, he's wearing socks and shoes.

Much as I love Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man, the lapses in costume continuity crack me up. Larry is wearing pajamas in the Cardiff hospital. After transforming, he's running around in his trademark dark shirt & slacks. When he wakes in the morning, back at the hospital, he's in pajamas again. 1/3

Very much in the "Don't threaten me with a good time!" arena.

It’s day 8 of Trump’s Shutdown and there are two things we still haven’t seen here on Capitol Hill:
1. House Republicans
2. The Epstein Files

Watching the Werewolf By Night TV Special. It's fantastic in Black & White, but the color version is pretty great too.

I often say I'm not much of a horror fan, but I've written spooky funny animal stories, werewolf stories, zombie stories, scary fae stories, and a teen paranormal romance comedy graphic novel.

Plus, I love Supernatural, Buffy, Angel, & Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight, cheesey as it is.

Given some of your work, "goes to weird places" seems like pretty high praise!

I tried Dept Q and the first EP didn't hook me. Should I persevere?

I've been revisiting Universal monster movies. Next up is Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.

Not sure: Do you like shapeshifters?

Hey! Had a couple things end up not starting this month, which is kind of not optimal for me, a person who needs to pay bills. So! If you need commissions, short comics, full comics, covers, prints, concert posters, album art, and you like what I do, maybe hire me!

Sports is the one that trips me up all the time. Most sports fans are absolutely convinced everyone is/should be a sports fan. If you're not, many look at you like there's something wrong with you. Or treat you like you're insulting them because you don't like what they do.

Wow! I had completely missed (or forgotten) that Vasquez Rocks stands in for Tibet in the beginning of Werewolf of London!

I think it may be more of a "me" thing? Even in a theater, I find myself wishing filmmakers would just get on with it. Not atmospheric, but I had that problem with Fantastic Four: First Steps. To me, it dragged.

The thing that stood out to me was the complete lack of explanation/mythology for Miriam's condition. I expect it was clearer in the book and, perhaps, earlier drafts of the screenplay.
