Just before the final episode. Director Ueda had told me about the concept for the final episode (Optimus Prime throws away the Matrix! Great idea!!), so I focused on drawing the storyboard so that it would connect to the final episode. Optimus Prime reexamines his true nature. He realizes that he even loves Megatron! This may sound a bit suspicious, but anyway, now Optimus Prime can go wild! He can punch Megatron to his heart's content and prove his love for him! The only thing that's unfortunate is that a lot of the footage was cut during the production process. It can't be helped due to budget constraints, but it's a shame! (Storyboard: Sano)

The closer you notice people's struggles, the less idealized the environment becomes. Food goes from the Ghibli .GIF compilations to well drawn, but still simply bread. Worst ending would be finding the cat and retiring to your beautiful but lonely house in the mountain, ignoring the smoke on the horizon Normal ending is using your magic to blow up panzers Golden ending is same as normal but alongside the cat and a new townie friend you made No matter how you play, choosing the option to call the emperor a "big dumb meanie! yikes!" straight up locks you into the bad end. That's probably the hardest cutting point I could make.

Me too, me too. Except for the reading thing.
Picking up a datapad and reading to Springer had, in the beggining, presented Roadbuster with a number of challenges: he'd had to learn to read, for starters. Like being able to look at Bumblebee without wanting to pat him on the head, or hold a conversation with Optimus Prime without trying to catch a glimpse of the Matrix through the windows of his chest plate, the ability to read had been one of those things-one of those handy little life skills-that he'd only recently acquired.
